Murray Avenue
renovation * KITCHEN DESIGN * larder * three bathrooms * 2016
This project involved the renovation of a kitchen, rear facade and the creation of a larder from an existing first floor laundry room. We designed the new kitchen to fit within the historic home and utilized the larder for the program of the fridge and microwave. We added a new bar sink and wine fridge to this space. We designed custom cabinetry for both spaces; tailored to the specific needs of the clients and the scale of the historic home. The first floor powder room was renovated along with a new shared bath for the kids and a new master. The design aesthetic was clean and modern, but with a nod to the historic palate of the home. We selected marbles, tiles and fittings to compliment the and balance the existing house's details and design. Photography by Gretchen Murcott.
